Find this easy DIY rustic greenery arrangement using craft supplies on hand or easily obtained from the dollar store. Plus more stash-busting projects. DomesticDeadline.com

I love puzzles. Anything can be a puzzle in my mind, especially creating something from what’s on hand. Like craft supplies! Digging through my bins of supplies and figuring out what I can make with what is already in my stash has become my new favorite way to craft. The monthly craft room destash challenge is a great way to keep me on track… using everything in my craft room before buying more supplies! This month I decided my powder room needed a little rustic greenery arrangement, so I dove into my supplies.

Rock What You’ve Got

The first thing I do when puzzling a new craft project together is to pull out any supplies I think might work for my idea.

I can’t help buying extra greenery at the Dollar store, even when I’m buying for a planned project. So I always have extras of this type of stuff around.

The mini crate, I think held a gift someone gave me. Staining happened one day while staining several other things. Then the crate sat around, waiting to be turned into something more.

Everything I was working with was very light and I wasn’t worried about exact placement. So I opted not to bother with floral foam, just some pieces of burlap ribbon.

Rustic Greenery

Just go for it!

I used to feel I was terrible at making wreaths and creating floral arrangements. But, I finally found the secret… just go for it! Everything can always be rearranged, especially with faux greenery.

The choice to not use any floral foam may have backfired a bit on me… I dropped the entire thing while taking it to the powder room!

Rearranging again in place worked great. It’s part of the beauty of rustic greenery arrangements.

My little display shelf is coming along in the powder room!

Monthly Craft Room DeStash Challenge

Every month a group of bloggers is challenged by C’mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Everyone is allowed a $10 allowance for necessities to complete their project (i.e. paintbrushes, glue, etc), but the bulk of it must be created from their own stash of goodies.
